Winter storm hits family in northern county
Anyone else get hit with this crazy winter storm?
My family up north got a ton of snow and we got ice so bad that most of our county has been without power since this morning. Including us🥶 thankfully this afternoon our contractor friend brought us a generator to borrow since our youngest has an allergy to extreme cold temps.

We got snow and ice. Been inside all day. Our roads are super icy!! I pray our power stays on!!

@mims oh no! I've honestly never heard of a cold allergy! That's terrifying! Do you guys live somewhere that mostly stays warm to prevent her from reacting?

she has mast cell disease that causes an overproduction of histamine in her body. So she can have reactions with many different things. Two of her triggers are extreme cold temps or hot. Our winters are normally mild just a few days the whole winter that can be harsh however our summers are hot but we invested in a cooling vest for her so we can enjoy the outdoors longer than 15mins. She has asthma on top of it and she can’t inhale very cold air.

We're still getting it. A ton of ice now it's raining and snowing. We lost power in the middle of the night.

The power company released information that it could be up to 3 days before power is fully restored🥶 it was 18degrees F this morning. And will be even colder tonight
