PSA: You’re supposed to take BOTH of the antigen tests in the box for the at-home Covid tests. They’re not as sensitive as PCR tests. Read the directions for your test kit. It’s a 24-48 hour time difference between the first and second test to rule out infection. You’re welcome.

They leave dumb people to test themselves which is the first problem lol. I know so many people take the test wrong and I’m like seriously do you guys not follow the instructions 🤦🏼♀️

This is the reason most places ONLY accept PCR tests. Many people will screw up home tests easily and not always because they are careless too. HPT have been an example of that in the past.

Absolutely. They’re really only good for confirming an infection, not ruling one out. There are too many variables like user error, timing of test, lack of sensitivity of the tests, etc to rely on them to rule out an infection.

It is also a good idea to have a double check system (if applicable), just like in many hospitals. Anyone could make a mistake. We always have a second person check in our hospital to make sure it is correct. Depending on meds and procedures.
It will not hurt to do so for at home kits to familiarize yourselves with them. Also check online (if there is a website on it) for tutorials.
