Took my sweet girl to the pedi yesterday for a follow up and they sent us to the ER. Got to the ER and they did chest X-ray and found pneumonia. So, we got admitted and we’re not sure how long we’ll be here. Baby is getting high-flow oxygen but we’re slowly weaning her off of it and onto low-flow. She’s also getting iv antibiotics and iv fluids. They said that she sounds great right now compared to how she sounded when we came in yesterday!

RSV and covid at the same time is every parent's worst fear. It's so heartbreaking to see them hooked up to lines and tubes. So happy she's getting the care she needs to feel better. Take care of yourself too, mama. <3 Sending lots of love and prayers.
I feel so horrible that I didn’t ask for more last week when I brought her to the ER. The doctor seemed so confident that all of her issues were from the RSV and that her breathing would go back to normal. Little did I know she’s been struggling for days 😭 luckily she’s already showing some improvements and hopefully this is all over soon!! Thank you so much!
@mamallama2317 to be completely honest, from a clinical standpoint, you couldn't have done more. When you took her to the ER last week she didn't have pneumonia developing yet. You did all you could and that ER doctor probably didn't hear anything crackling in there yet when they listened with their stethoscope. You got her medical attention several times, you did a really good job. Try not to beat yourself up.
