Does anyone recommend a good Straightener Brush? I want to get one for my sister for Christmas. I checked Amazon but I’m lost on which ones are actually good. I added pictures of her hair. She has thick wavy/frizzy hair.

I would just work with the natural hair pattern. You may cause more damage than good by applying heat to it. Also a good trim off the dead-ends does wonders and make the hair bounce back.

My husband's hair is very thick and wavy. A good wash and condition followed by a thick, big comb and then air drying works best for his... Brushing will almost always make anyone's hair poofy. A comb will get the tangles out and if you need some smoothing, a light coat of coconut oil or your favorite oil before combing. Air drying is best!!! When washing using cooler water helps close the shafts also!!!!

Thank you for the tips, I’ll let her know! She’s a teenager who loves to straighten her hair, just wanted to get her a better straightener since the one she uses doesn’t work to good.

You're welcome! It's a hard battle when you're growing into yourself. Unfortunately it often take us getting old to appreciate the "self of younger days". She'll figure it out eventually. Oh and it's best to use the light oil while the hair is still slightly damp. You're w good mama trying to help her in her quest for better hair care. Hugs mama!
