So my youngest was sick about 10 days ago. Took her to urgent care and they said her flu and RSV were negative and said she had an ear infection and sinus infection. Her symptoms were red gunky eyes, cough, congestion, and she ended up vomiting 2-3 times. She’s been on antibiotics until today when she finished them. Starting early today she’s had a cough and congestion and been extra fussy. Do I need to test her for Covid since my oldest tested positive today? (My oldest only has a headache now, extra tired and some congestion because her fever broke earlier) I’m absolutely terrified with just one having it I can only imagine how my nerves will be if they’ve not got it 😩 also, anyone else had young kiddos with Covid? If so, please ease my mind and tell me that it wasn’t too bad and didn’t last too long cause I’m a wreck 😭😭😭

Baby boy (3 months at the time)had a 103 fever and congestion, fussiness for 4 days. DD,3, had a fever of 102 for one night, and a runny nose the same night. Gave Tylenol twice and it didn't come back she was normal. Oldest DD,5, never showed a symptom and I have been told by their peds since March of 2020 how high risk they are bc of their past experiences with RSV(which hospitalized them both as babies) and their asthma. A normal cold hits them harder than we just experienced. And we have only been off quarantine since the 4th and little baby now has a cold that started showing yesterday. Fever congestion, coughing, sick all around... He will be 4 months tomorrow. 😭

I am so glad that your babies had a mild experience with it!!! I hope your little one gets feeling better soon! Sickness this year seems ridiculously crazy!

@mamallama2317 Thank you!!! Yes, illness seems more magnified since we are all so hyper aware of the changes that have overcome our world. It's tough anytime the littles get I'll, but it seems even lonelier and more difficult now than I ever remember it being before. Little man is laying in my arms at the moment, calm, and sleeping. I'm grateful for his momentary comfort and truly appreciate your well wishes!

If your oldest tested positive then all of you need to stay home and quarantine anyway. No need to test the baby unless you need to get her into daycare or something. Otherwise I’d just stay home until they’re both feeling better.

Me and my 4 children at the same time. This was before I got vaccinated. I was very sick. I was actually concerned. My kids just had colds and a fever that lasted for 24 hours. I would’ve never known if I didn’t get so sick.
