Why are my kids so hard to put to bed?
My 2 year old and 9 month old have been HORRIBLE to put to bed lately. My 9 month old goes down okay but dosen't stay down long and is up a lot, my 2 year old just will not go down without an insane amount of screaming and crying. We haven't changed routine or anything and we stick to a pretty solid bedtime routine for all 4 of them and it's been all of a sudden. But she will wake up screaming in the middle of the night and just will not settle herself at all. Between the 2 of them one or both of them is screaming from 730-10pm until we finally go to bed. I'm at my wits end. They used to go to bed just fine and I'd be able to have a moment of downtime before going to bed and now, nothing. At all. I'm just so overstimulated, mentally drained, and touched out.

Can your husband possibly handle bed time so you can still have alone time for a few hours?

He usually handles the 2 year old while I do the little one. He helps a lot but even with the 2 of us it's mayhem

I know we have different aged babes but maybe a sleep sack could help? I put my almost 3 month old in one and tell a difference when she isn't in it. I have my 2yo in one, he can take it off himself if he wants but for all 5 of mine they make all the difference! I hope you get some good wine and a break tonight!

I got the brandy on a whim just because and it is SO good. But it was a small bottle and I finished it a week ago, meant to go buy more this week but I didnt get around to it 🤷♀️

@countrypeaches42013 Do you drink it like a shot? A local winery sells blackberry wine and it's amazing! It's 100% blackberries. I would totally come over and chat, I'm a night owl so I could stay up all night talking, would totally regret it the next day when the kids wake up before the sun! 😄

no, I pour some in a glass and I add some seltzer water for a little fizz and just sip on it. It's so good!

There are some big sleep regressions around 2y and 8-10m. Maybe that’s the cause? Not all kids get affected by them, and not all kids get affected by all of them
Adrienne Kark··
My older 2 didn't have the 2 year regression so that's wild to me but I believe it. I'm sure that's the cause. I just hope it doesn't last long. I'm going crazy 🥴

@countrypeaches42013, my oldest was a crap sleeper anyways so regressions never really made a difference. My youngest is a great sleep except during regressions and they’re brutal. Only last a couple weeks usually

yeah my son never slept until he was 2, my 1st daughter was an awesome sleeper til she hit 3 but shes good now. My now 2 year old slept great up until all of a sudden. My 9 month old I'm pretty positive has never slept since birth 😂
