I have a question my daughter was fine at 3 this morning she she decided she wanted to get up,she went back to sleep at like 715 she woke up at 745 throwing up, she was throwing up every 10 to 15 minutes that lasted for like 5 and a half hours could that have been a stomach bug ate something else I already talked to her doctor the prescribed her Zofran by the time my dad brought it to me she was up and running around is that normal for a stomach bug??

Did she maybe eat something that didnt agree with her? I think a stomach bug would last a little while longer, but I suppose it could have ran it’s course that quickly.

I don’t remember her eating anything the last thing she ate was potatoes and cheese she didn’t eat anything this morning and she was fine at 3 this morning so I’m confused on what made her like that but a stomach bug

Yes probably a stomach bug and I find it odd a doctor would prescribe medication to a 3 year old over the phone like that. Stomach bugs almost always resolve in 24
Hours and you don’t need to intervene. Just offer plenty of fluids so she doesn’t get dehydrated. My daughter has gone through this so many times and I’ve never been prescribed medication for it.

@katt82, my daughter has had days like that but the nurses always told us as long as she’s peeing once in 24 hours she’s not dehydrated. Give her tiny sips of water or Gatorade even if she throws it up. Is she feeling better now?

yea she is it lasted for 5 hours I’m was Lina scared cause she never did it before she’s drinking and eating now thank you for your concern
Melinda Westad··
ok that’s good news!
