What to gift an 8-year-old boy for Christmas?
What are the best birthday/Christmas gift ideas for a 8 year old boy? My son birthday is Christmas Eve and I am struggling on toy gifts for my oldest. He’s into video games so he’s getting a bunch of gift cards for Fortnite and Roblox and gaming chair, a new iPad and headphones but I’m not sure what else to do besides clothes and shoes for him too.

Would he like a chemistry set or something crafty? Like air dry clay? We like to do books and crafting/creative gifts too just to get a break from technology. They have Lego kits where you can make your own movies, there's a lot of cool stuff out there!

He loves books and Lego’s I just been scared to buy any with a 2 year old in the house. I made him take the ones he had to his grandma house.

when my step daughter was little 8 and my son was 2 we never had an issue with legos either she played in her room with them or at the kitchen table. And when my son was 2 he had duplo legos to play with that were for him. My son actually started building with normal legos at 3 with us watching him he never tried to eat them. Now our cat and dog thats a different story haha

Edit: I was going to PM you, but here’s my 2¢. I like the books idea, but kids are so into technology that it’s hard to force them to pick up a book if it’s not their thing. If you’re giving him an iPad, there are great apps that he can either listen to books (audible) or follow the read-with-me books (epic) 🤷🏽♀️
My niece LOVES books, but my nephew despises em so I’m not sure how your son feels about em.
& syncing his iPad to your account = you can get updates of how many he’s reading 👏🏽👏🏽 reward time! 🏆🍕

My brother was a Christmas Eve baby too ❤️💚 Growing up, we always got him new shoes because he would go through them like crazy! My mom would always do a number of smaller gifts and one big surprise + cake/his favorite food. We made it extra special because so many people would flake, were unavailable, or simply mixed his bday/Christmas gift 😢 I can tell ya, Lawrence was a gamer & a computer nerd. He could build his own computer and code his games 😆 He liked science sets too. Whatever it is that you do, it’s coming from you so I’m sure he’ll love it!

Aww how amazing ! I think that will be my son about the computer. He loves games and computers and all things science. He says he will be a astronaut and want to visit NASA. Yes that’s what I’m struggling with for a birthday and Christmas it seems like less compared to other years but he was into toys then and now it seems impossible to find things. Thank you so much 😊
