I had a really hard day yesterday, crying all day i was a mess. I'm not one to hide my emotions from the kids (will add that is depending on the situation) but i want them to know that its ok to have bad days, its ok to be sad, angry, anxious, happy, confused, frustrated. But teaching them how to express those feeling 'properly'.
But I'm at my desk trying to finish work and my 4 year old comes over and the following happens:
G: whats wrong mama
M: mama is just having a hard day
G: *rubs my back* awww its ok mama *runs away*...
G: *returns with 4 packs of fruit snacks* open please
M: bubba you don't need 4 fruit snacks
G: one for mama and one for greyson
M: thank you buddy
G: *sits on couch and pats the seat next to him* come sit mama, you need cuddles
This boy had me sitting on the couch with him eating fruit snacks while he rubbed my back!
