I was just scrolling through local news about all the school districts who were masks optional who are now masks mandatory because cases blew up last week. Pediatric cases were a second all time high nationally last week.

It’s getting bad. The schools have a form you can come in and fill out if you choose to not make your child mask and signing it means the school isn’t liable. So many people said they are doing this so I’m not sure how it’s going to end up with cases so bad. Mine have been wearing theirs, especially the boys at the high school with more students. Aly said it’s been a little more lax at her elementary school but she said she still wears it. It’s all so much stress.

Wolf made masks mandatory Sept 7th here. Parents were trying to turn in some form here last week so their kids wouldn't have to wear masks but the school sent out a letter saying it's not accepted. I guess there was a mask protest downtown last week. 🤦♀️

I just don’t understand anti-mask parents. 😣 If you think it doesn’t do much, well, wouldn’t you rather try SOMETHING to keep your kids safe? We always say we would do anything for our kids, but I don’t think they are. Yeah, if their kid gets Covid they PROBABLY won’t die. But someone’s kid is dying somewhere. Wouldn’t you rather say I did everything I could?!? Same with the school boards! If just 1 kid dies in their district that didn’t require masks, are they ok with that?! No big deal, it was just 1 or 2 kids, but not THEIRS?! Their kid needed fresh air!!! I just don’t get it. 😔

Just read an article about a family who went on vacay in August, all 5 kids and both parents caught covid. Kida did okay, parents (both in their 30s) died. 5 orphans being raised by a grandparent.

It’s insane to me. We are 3 weeks in. Mask mandate. Vaccine mandate. NOT A SINGLE CASE OF COVID IN THE ENTIRE DISTRICT.

Masks are mandatory in our schools, even if you're a vaccinated parent (like myself) I have to mask to enter the school building (I have no issues with that) if anyone is in the school building masks are mandatory for all.

My childrens school made masks mandatory since the beginning or else my boys would be here virtually learning.. I wasn’t gonna send them to in person but my sons were so devastated n talked me into it... only bcuz the schools here are super strict n follow safety n take it super serious.. their has not been one case yet thank the lord bcuz is a daily worry ya kno plus all the teachers had to be vaccinated in order to work in the school district here in Virginia atleast were i am

Teachers are vaccinated here as well. Masks weren’t mandatory for the first 3 weeks. Cases went up. I can’t remember exactly but something like 125 since school started
