Anyone else just completely given up trying to socialise? No just me? 🤣 2 different 'friends' were adamant we were to meet up over the Summer. After twice suggesting days. They were either busy or cancelled leading up to. So I said tell me when your free! I hear nothing. Gets to September & they message. How did we not manage to meet over the 6weeks? We need to meet up! 🤦♀️ I'm too old for this sh*t... Lol

I haven’t seen my best friend in 5 years! I love her to bits but we never meet up. She’s struggling with her health so I understand why she doesn’t get out but I miss her!
I’m the same, socially awkward and don’t speak to anyone in the playground. I’d rather avoid eye contact with people so I don’t have to speak 🤣

Yeh I understand life gets busy. We ourselves spend a lot of weekends doing things as a family & most people work during the week. So leaves very little time for friends!

I’m the same , I’ve lost 2 of my close friends just due to drifting apart and not bothering to talk to me or me just not willing to message

It's not nice is it. I can't put the blame fully on them. I'm not brilliant at messaging regularly. But I do try to organise meet ups occassionally & when it never gets anywhere I give up!

I’m the same when it comes to messages but I try and go for a play date but they end up not including me or just not bothering 😞
It’s annoying at points but I’ve got used to it now 😢

Me either & most of the time I'm not too bothered tbh. I feel more bad the boys don't really have any play dates with friends out of school. I've tried reaching out a couple times when they've mentioned it & even their friends have said when playing at the park they want a play date.
I chat with a handful of parents at the park & by school because I know them through my work. But our kids aren't the same age. Morgan's year in particular I don't talk to any of them. I feel I should be better at it or something I don't know what I'm doing wrong haha

Oh I definately have resting bitch face 🤣 I don't have it in me to make new friends & I have zero interest chasing old friends. They either wanna meet up or don't I'm not gonna keep asking. Couple old friends from home (we moved away 6yrs ago) Are always so busy we have to pen in the following year! Lol
