A new law was passed today that now allows restaurants to serve alcohol to go. While this is pretty awesome in one aspect it’s absolutely terrifying in the other. Sooo many more drunk driving accidents are bound to happen because they aren’t going to wait until they get home.

remember, beer comes in a can that has a top like soda, wine comes in a box, and a lot of alcohol comes in glass bottles with a bottle cap, lol, that's a lot of easy access

They started this at the beginning of the pandemic here. If anything drunk driving has decreased because they can just take their booze home and get drunk there

They’ve been doing that here since last March lol no increase in drunk driving.
Obviously assuming people will wait until they get home to drink. It’s a covered container, doesn’t have a hole for a straw and they don’t provide straws. It’s a good way to keep business when people don’t want to gather indoors.

My cousin went one place and ordered one and it came in a foam cup with a straw. Like what you’d get at the convenient stores. That’s what I was worried about.

it’s illegal to give straws unfortunately… so maybe they aren’t doing it safely. At least here that is illegal
