Around 5 is when we had dd pick up her toys, fold clothes. Just simple tasks to begin with.

My daughter "dust" baseboards. She started doing that when she was like 3. Over time she has to put away her dishes from the dishwasher (plates and bowls), make her bed. Clean her room/play room once a week ( I help when it's really bad after play dates), she "sweeps" up her crumbs off the floor after dinner. Feeds her pet fish ( when she has one).

My dd cleans her room, does her bed, and just picks up when she makes a mess with her toys. Takes dirty dishes to sink

I started giving my kids chores when they turned 3 simple things like clean up their toys, put away their shoes and put their dishes in the sink

My kids love chores and I'm not ready for them to give me a hard time about stopping! 🤣 They do laundry, dishes, trash, clean up.....I'll let them do anything as long as harsh chemicals aren't involved. My girls more than my older son but if they are doing it or ask to do it he will also do it. They literally helped me catch up on laundry a couple weeks ago, they kept me motivated and I kept telling them I needed a break! 🤣

Oh! My husband usually is the one to make our bed in the AM and my son has been asking to do it if my husband doesn't get to it.

Clean room, toys and under beds, put dishes in sink. She loves to sweep so I let her have at it lol. I caught her cleaning the toilet the other day with Lysol wipes lol...I was like what are you doing girl?! She was like I wanna be big like my sister and clean the bathroom 🤦🏾‍♀️😂

Pick up toys, their bed rooms,Put dirty clothes in the hamper,He fills the dog dishes and water as well. Put their dishes in the sink.

I started around 3. They picked up their toys. Threw stuff away. Put their clothes in the hamper. Now they help with everything like cleaning, dishes, laundry, outside work. They wanted to make money so we took over care of a cemetery and they weed eat while dad and I mow.

Gathers laundry baskets and takes to laundry room, feed and water dogs, sets table for dinner, dirty dishes put in sink and cleans her play room. I make her a “checklist” that has drawn pics of what to do. She thinks it’s fun to check off what she’s done.

When they start crawlin, I attach a feather duster to their little legs. Never too early to get em started if ya ask me! 🙌

My kid is 6 and does all kinds of chores. In Montessori education it’s called practical life. They learn how to do things safe but independently and then they also have chores as homework too. He cleans the kitty litter box, takes out the garbage, organizes the shoes, helps puts his stuff away, and he feeds cats. I know there’s more stuff he does but that’s all I can think of right now

Dishes in the sink, put their clothes away, make beds (although I fix it), pick up toys, and occasionally help me sort laundry before I do if.

My son is 4.5. He feeds the cats every night (there’s a bucket with food and a scoop) he almost picks up his room. He puts his dirty clothes in his hamper and on Saturdays he will bring it to the garage where the laundry stuff is. He “helps” with floors and taking trash cans out.

My feeds the cats and dogs, helps fold laundry and puts away his, helps vacuum and mop, he helps with dishes he cleans up his room.
