I’m so frustrated. School starts tomorrow and the busing information is still not available!! My husband and I both work Mon-Fri 8-5. Her bus pickup time determines whether I have to take her to the babysitter in the morning. Hello?!! I need to make plans. I emailed the superintendent almost 24 hours ago with no response and no communication to everyone regarding busing! 😡 There is a problem every single year! They put her on the wrong bus to go home on her first day of Kindergarten!!!

I'd honestly take off the first day off school, for this very reason. My kiddo is a car rider and was put in the bus line his first year of pre-k, he was only THREE! 😳 Luckily I was standin right there to pick him up and said somethin! Even HE knew that's not where he was supposed to be! We always walk him to the door and pick him up and walk him back to the car the first couple days cause it's ALWAYS mass confusion til they get a system goin.

That's a good idea, to take the day off. My sister had the school call her and say my niece with moderate autism wasn't at school and my sister freaked the F out because she put her on the bus. She was sitting in class the whole time. This was last year.

This is why I take off every year cause my child is a damn MESS! He'll say "But my Mama is pickin me up", but he will only say it ONE time. 🤦♀️ If they choose not to listen, He'll just follow the group of kids that has the most of his friends in it. He said, "Well, I know dem do if I go to dare house, den dare Mom can call and tell you I went to dare house". 🤷♀️ He's got it all figured out. I mean, it's not a HUGE town, there's only SO many places he could be! 🤣

Due to some delayed and cancelled flights this year, Grandma had to walk him in this year, but we were there in time to meet him at the door and walk him to the car after school.

I wish I could take the day off, but I’m the only one who works here!! 😕 I’m sure I will be late! My husband is still working from home, so I may have been a little dramatic, but he’s going back in Sept so she will have to go to the babysitter if pickup isn’t early enough. But I think it’s absolutely ridiculous that they do not have bus schedules available yet.
Edit: and we do not have any family near.

@jenx, she has an after school babysitter so that’s where she would go in the morning, but that is changing the pickup point I originally gave (a long time ago!) I needed to know the home pickup time to know if I needed to change to the babysitter. Ugh. Just rambling and venting. 😉 thanks!

I TOTALLY get it Mama, 100%! You shoulda SEEN me in the airport when those fools had me missin the first day!
It IS pretty ridiculous that 12 hours before they expect you to have your kid there, they've given you ZERO direction! I'd be frustrated too!
Do y'all have a groupme, class dojo or anything like that where you can communicate with her teacher directly? I'm SURE the principal/superintendents are runnin round like chickens with their heads cut off right now. These couple weeks before school are ROUGH on administration.

@leonardsquared, I have now left an incomprehensible voicemail on the transportation line, they should be able to make out my number, and sent the transpo guy an email. And I just filled out their Google form again that I already did during registration. Guess my husband will be driving everyone to school tomorrow. 😫

Update: Still no FUCKING response from anyone. I left more messages and more emails. My husband took them to school and I have to get off at 2:00 to pick my daughter up.
