Someone hit a kid right in front of my house tonight. Thankfully the little girl (around 6-7) isn’t severely hurt, at least they didn’t think so.

But this is so super frustrating for me! There are 17 kids who live in my 1 block. We have 4 signs up and down each side of the road that say “slow - children playing” so 8 signs total. People still want to drive like maniacs. And it wasn’t even dark outside! There is absolutely no excuse for this! She was going way to fast and the kids couldn’t cross the street fast enough.

Not to mention this is a huge problem in my town. I’ve personally watched 2 children get hit in the crosswalk with the crossing guard out there as well at the middle school. It happened again at the same school the next year. And the following year a child was run over in the crosswalk and he died. Along with the boy run over by the bus in April and had his leg amputated up into his hip. People need to put the damn phones down or whatever and pay attention to the road! You should never be going fast in a residential area anyways
