My son has two teeth that are rotting and I don’t understand how this even happened. I brush his teeth once a day (recommended by his dentist) we floss and I brush his teeth before bed every night. Limited sugary foods/drinks they want to pull them but I can’t help but think this is all my fault. I thought I was doing good with taking care of his teeth but I guess not. Any suggestions? 😞

Brushing after crackers and not eating anything gummy. Crackers break down into this film on the teeth bacteria love, so if he eats a lot of goldfish or something, give them a quick swipe.

Sometimes these things just happen or are genetic.

I was always told to brush at least twice a day. Sometimes bottles and milk/formula can do that too. Sometimes like the above comment, it’s genetic. They are just baby teeth though! It’ll cause him more pain in the long run.

Personally I would pull as last resort. Did they say they are too far gone to try other things? We use a MI paste which has helped too. Which 2 teeth? My oldest son's 4 front were capped, back ones we had filled and painted to stop the cavities. He is 5, lost his first tooth not too long ago and everything still looks good.
