Found out my car is screwed. The engine is totally ruined and I would need a whole new one. 🤦🏻♀️😭😭😭 had it 5 months and only been able to drive it for 3 and still have 2 years to pay if off. This is just my luck. I never have any good it’s only just bad

Did you get it from a dealership? Look up your states lemon law. You might be able to get it swapped for an equal value car

You need to talk to the dealership ASAP. Look up the lemon laws and used car laws in your state.

Unfortunately here in Oklahoma, that's not a thing with used cars. If no warranty is sold the car is assumed to be purchased under an "As Is" aggreement and here, that means JUST that. It'd cost them so much money to tie it up in court, only to lose and still not have a car. It's pretty shitty.

Chevy traverse 09. My husbands boss is looking for one. He feels awful. He found this car because it’s what I wanted and he took it to the shop and looked it over and test drove it and said everything was fine when he showed it to me.

oh if its a Chevy you should be able to get a reasonable one no problem. That's why we drive them. I'm so sorry...that sucks really bad

I did. I haven’t talked to them but my husband said it probably didn’t have any kind of warranty. So I don’t know.

I am sorry, there is no sort of warranty!? Our KIA was used and our engine was covered under warranty

I’m not sure now. My husband said he really didn’t think there was. Maybe I’ll call them myself and see. They showed me a newer one but it didn’t have as much room or the extra seat like the one I did get.

Maybe look for an engine online or a car parts place? Maybe you know someone that works on cars that could put it in. I feel like dealerships aren't any help unless the part needed is recalled and still they want to act like you just need to buy a new car. Ugh, this must be stressful, I hope you guys are able to get it fixed!

I don’t think so. I’ve never heard of it. But they are going to check a few scrap yards first.
