Hi ladies, I am asking out of curiosity hope you can help. 🙂
1) what’s the recovery time after C-section?
2) is a C-section scar visible when you wear a bikini?
3) is it true that one would never have a flat tummy after C-section?
4) any other side effects?
Hello :) I’ve had 2 c-sections. I guess it depends, but I’m my case:
1) I was getting up and walking around 12 hours after the operation, felt quite strong around 10 days after the operation. It could still hurt once in a while in next months, but was bearable.
2) My scar is only visible in a very low bikini like from Agent Provocateur or so. But I have friends whose scars are even lower and never visible in a bikini (or they became almost invisible at all after around a year)
3) you can still have a flat tummy, but it will take time and motivation 😀
4) after my second c-section I have strange pains in my back, around the place where I received spinal anesthesia. I’m not sure it’s related though..
Thanks love. My little sister faced pains in the back too. She had 1 C-section. In terms of tummy, did you get a ponch after the operation? Ofcourse time, motivation and right diet is needed to get a flat tummy in general ;)
I've had 2 c sections;
1. The recommended full recovery time is 6 weeks. My first c section took double that due to wound infection. My 2nd felt like it was healed around 4 weeks but obviously you still need to give it time for things to heal internally.
2. They used the same scar for both my sections and my scar is right on my knicker line, I'm 5yrs post last c section now anyway and you wouldn't even tell I've a scar unless you really look for it.
3. I can't answer this as I never had one to begin with 😂
4. You may well end up permanently numb around the scar area, I can't feel when someone touches the scar and up towards my belly button. This is completely normal. I also get a very odd itching sensation in my scar but can't itch it as I can't feel it. I also get a tugging pain in one side of my scar more so in winter months.
