I personally would not invite people to something without providing some food and drinks. Even if it's just some pre-made trays, like a fruit platter, Veggie platter and some cheese and crackers

I'd say "Listen fuckers! We're gonna get everyone together so we can find out what this next kid is. It's gonna be short and sweet. Don't get dressed up, don't expect to eat and don't bring a buncha shit plannin to make a day of it"! If those are rules you can follow then COME ON, if not....still love yous! 🤷‍♀️

You don’t have to, but I personally wouldn’t hold an event without at least a few snacks and drinks available.

I would make the timing NOT around meal time. Have it at 2pm and have a cake. If you don’t want to provide anything, I wouldn’t have people over.
