After many years of having a FL driver licence and dreading the DMV process, I am now obligated to transfer and renew it to a NYC driver's license because it expires on Monday. Pray I survive and they don't give me any issues LOL

Good luck! While I don't live in NYC I've been to my DMV a few times and it seems like the process is so much easier since they do appointments only.

Now it’s not that bad since you schedule the appointment online. It took me less than 45 min for car registration last month. Where in NYC? I went to the Coney Island office
