Wow. HVAC supplies are so low you have to be a ‘Dealer’ of the product to BUY the equipment! I’m so glad I switched Brands when I did. Or else I would be 100% SOL! It’s hard out there. This summer season will be the ‘Summer of REPAIRS’ not replacements. And that HURTS the pockets. That’s our bread and butter.

So many supplies are truly low due to a lot of manufacturers switching to making covid PPE and other things. We have several meds on back order at work right now too.

@jenx, most supply houses are out of 3 ton units. That is a majority of homes here. I install 3 ton units alllll the time.

I hope you guys are still able to help though! It would be a bitch to be without AC in the summer due to back orders. I think your job is so cool and the fact you work is a predominantly male field is so bad ass.

we will figure it out. Especially for people with kids and elderly. If we have to sell window units until we get equipment, then that’s what we will do. And thank you! It is really fun and rewarding! I feel stronger since starting to do it. Almost 2 years in the field now! I can rip out an old furnace and coil alone, undoing gas, electrical. I just pulled a 4 ton furnace out of a basement 💪🏽😅 I mean. I pulled the blower and wheel first LOL. It wasn’t so heavy after I removed the motor. I love proving dudes wrong, guys at supply houses always want to do my heavy lifting. But I don’t ever let them. I prove myself. It helps that I have worked in the industry since 2012 too.
