Just been to see my midwife and she said ive got static growth and im measuring 35-36 at 38 weeks and they want to send me for an urgent scan.
Has this happened to anyone else? Trying to be rational🤦♀️

This happened with me with Conor, I was measuring six weeks behind and had a scan however he was healthy and it was because of the way he was laying right in my arse low down 😖they measured him by the scan to be 7lbs and was born at 39plus6 at 7lbs11 so hopefully it’s similar for you xxx

Ahh thank you lovely this has made me feel better! I'm hoping shes just gone really low and that's why my bump isnt measuring properly. Hoping they call me with an appointment asap as just want to put my mind at rest! Xxx

It is a worry understandably so I don’t blame you for wanting it ASAP! They seem to scare you and leave you hanging. Wishing you all the best 💖xxx

I had the same got the hospital his measurements was spot on but they somehow missed i was carrying to much fluids.
I know now why cos when I went for the urgent scan they asked if a student could do it with them an I usually don't say no but if I was ever in the position again I'd say no! I could of had lots of complications luckily I never!!
I duno why u haven't been sent straight there 😕 hope your ok. Baba will be fine and here before you know it already keepin you on toes!!💗 xx

Ah wow I didnt even know too much fluids was a thing! How did you find out it was that it it was missed?
And I know I'm trying to reassure myself that it it was that bad surely they would get me in same day! Hopefully it's nothing to worry about thanks lovely 🤞 xxx

I found out cos they broke my waters and when they did there was just to much my partner my mum and 2 midwives was shuffling towels around the room for ages cos once they had broke them I needed the toliet and she let me go so it went everywhere and she diagnosed me then I also had swelling from my knees down and hands and face that they didn't take no notice of just said it was normal which it can be but then when I had him it just confirmed it. Its called polyhydramnios id never knew before either! I deffo agree they would of sent you straight there I think so take that as a good thing although your mind won't be settled until you know for sure! It will all be ok your princess will be too! Xxx

Tbh I always find that when they measure your bump it’s never accurate as some people carry more water than others🤷🏼♀️and I know someone who’s bump they measured and she was told her baby was really big and would need to be induced as they said he was 10lbs! So they induced her and everything yet when he was born was only 8lbs something🙃

they havent given me a time or day which is worse just said they would ring me before Friday 😩 I'd go get scanned right now if I could 😂 just makes you anxious waiting around! Xxx

you’d of thought they’d of sent you to the hospital straight from your midwife appointment! I hate waiting around it’s the worst isn’t it??xxx

yeah it's made me worried because she said it could be that my placenta is slowing down and I'm like well isnt that fatal to the baby if it stops so how isnt it urgent enough to get me in asap. 😩🤦♀️ xxx

This happened with Carter! They sent me for 2 scans a week or so apart, everything was fine in the end and he’s a fat little thing 😂 let us know how you get on lovely, I hope everything is okay xx

centee nope nothing! Cant believe I've just been left 🤦♀️ midwife said to call her if I hadn't heard from them today so I'll see what shes got to say later! 🤔 xxx

I had static growth with Theo at 39 weeks I was still measuring 36 weeks. They sent me for a scan two days before he was born and said he was huge (10lbs + ) and tried to push for a C-section, I didn't do it, thankfully. I had him two days later and he was 6lbs 12oz. The woman who measured me was a trainee midwife and the one who scanned me was also in training. The one who delivered Theo was also in training, apparently I don't learn my lesson 😂 I am sure you will be fine, but they are just doing their jobs and checking you over :) xx

Ahh thank you hopefully it's just the same for me! It's odd because with tommy I always measured on the bigger side and he was 9lbs 13 so to have static growth with her made me worried! I'm definitely going to refuse a trainee midwife doing the scan if they ask as judging by what you and @tammyxx said I need someone experienced to tell me exactly what's going on! Xx

I had this at around 34 weeks. But a few days I had felt him turn. The scan showed him back to back where as before his bum was facing outwards.

Just rang the hospital myself as I've not heard anything and the receptionist said there is an urgent referral for me on the system but all I can do is wait for a phone call to be called in. 🤦♀️ absolute nightmare just want to get in there and know shes all ok 😩 youd think when they say stress is bad in pregnancy they wouldnt leave people hanging 🙄 xx
