How important do you feel having a playroom is? Do you think it makes life easier or do you feel you can go without? My husband wants us to get rid of the playroom for the house we’re building since the rooms will all be pretty good sizes they can play in their rooms. He thinks a office is more beneficial for his business but Idk though. The idea of toys being all over the rooms makes my ocd kick in. I feel like no matter how clean the space is toys will always make it look cluttered. We have a playroom in our rental now and I forgot what life is like without one. Also Our room will have two little nooks and so the original plan was for him to put a desk and his officey stuff in one of them until we build a little shed in the backyard that can be his office but now he doesn’t want to do that. So Thoughts?

We've never had a playroom but it does sound nice. But also sounds like another room I'd have to clean up besides the littles room that will always get messed up one way or another lol. I'd go for the office. Just limit the amount of toys out in their rooms

We're in the same boat. We're moving in a few weeks and we're finishing the basement this winter. Until then my husband has the dining room for his office and kiddo will have the spare room as the play room. Are you building 4 bedrooms? If that's the case make the older girls share so one room can be a play room and the others can be for sleeping children

It’s 5 bed. Older two will share, baby has room, our room, guest room and playroom or office. I’m thinking the guest bed can even act as a office but it’s pretty small. he feels not enough space for all of his things and it would of been the babies room but it’s way too far away from ours

do you really have guests that often? I would honestly sacrifice that space for the playroom. Or put a daybed in their so if someone comes it works both ways.
I read an article once that said guest room are the most waisted rooms in the average home.

I was just going to ask this. Unless you have frequent guests use this room as the office.
