they had a kill circle around the poor thing so I kinda dove in the middle of it all and grabbed her and just kept flailing my free hand and screaming to get the horses to stay back 🤦‍♀️ no one realizes how terrifying horses really are until you get in a pasture with that many of them and they get spooked. When most people think of horses they think of them happily grazing or all tacked up and happily riding. But in scary situations like that you truly understand and respect their size and strength. I love my horses and ride them regularly, but I'll never not be afraid of them in moments of vulnerability

13, see I’m a city girl but we own some race horses so I guess I’ve probably seen the wildest shit lol race horses are on a whole other level of bad because they are just ready to go all the damn time. The worst was a colt got spooked while being groomed, almost kicked the groom (thankfully the groom was experienced and that’s the only reason why) but the colt ran straight threw a metal gate and broke his leg he was sadly euthanized. When they get spooked it’s so scary if you’ve never experienced it!
