My MIL does the same! And she was insanely helpful when I had our son - she dropped everything to drive up (7hours) while I was in labour, got here shortly after he was born, went to our house and did all the laundry I hadn’t finished so my house was literally spotless when we got home, then stayed for two weeks and did ALL the cooking and cleaning. I literally did nothing but cuddle my newborn the whole time. And she’s already planning to come a few days before our due date this time so she can take care of our toddler!
Don’t you just feel blessed to have a good MIL?! I know I do with all the horror stories my friends have.
