They REALLY need INTENSIVE training on how to deal with those that aren't! I feel like the cops are CLUELESS with mental/emotional issues, it's always chalked up to the suspect bein "difficult" or "resisting". You add in the rampant racism, it's a VERY dangerous situation for a young man like Zay as he gets older. Like WHAT happens when a non-typical human is approached by police and interrogated?? Do they take their inability to make eye contact or triggers like bein touched/grabbed as defiance?? I think they DO, if it's a POC they're dealing with and THAT is absolutely TERRIFYING. I wonder what the deal is with the police having several run-ins with him that made it okay to just detain him like that. I went off on the KTVU Instagram yesterday about how no one knows his level of functioning, what the executive functioning is like, so for him to just manhandle the kid like that was too much.

they are trying to say the cop didn’t know he was autistic and I think that’s bullshit. The whole story contradicts itself and literally right when this happened, after a few months of not getting answers about the animal abuse, TODAY they are finally making a statement on that to take attention away from this.
