I’m so sad for my boys . They both had surgery Thursday. My oldest a hernia removal and my youngest a hypospadius repair. My oldest is potty trained and is having a hard time getting his undies down cause the incision is right where the undies sit and it hurts to pull them up or down and he’s peeing himself but won’t wear a lose pull up cause he’s a “big boy” and “wants his underwear “ 😭🥺

Have you tried lose boxers? They might be easier to get up and down.

Yes he has a bunch but he still manages to hurt it while pulling down and the skin around the incision I think is like super sensitive so still hurts ):

can you try showing him to pull the waist away from his body? Maybe offer to do it for him?

Will he do underwear over a pull up? That way he still has his underwear on but has a back up?

Everytime I pull out the pull up he cry’s and says it’s his brothers and he’s a big boy 😭😭

Maybe get him size up than he usually wear so that they're big enough to go over the incision

What about pajamas or sweat pants or cotton shorts....something loose and comfy. I don't blame him, poor guy. I hope they start feeling better. The pull up might feel constricting too.

Yes I jusr put him in some basketball shorts and he seems to be a lot more comfy!
