so me and the MIL have noticed that Emily's left foot isn't straight and turns inward. has anyone dealt with this in your lil ones? she was breeched until like the last 2 weeks pregnant than she flipped heads down. i will be bringing it up to her pediatrician but looking for maybe a positive story the other 2 haven't had this (ignore her stained shirt gotta soak it in oxy clean)

Does her ankle and foot have full range of motion or is it tight or does she pull away if you try to move it? (Gently of course)

Does she stand on it okay? Is her heel cord tight? Like does she stand on her tip toes? Favor the other foot?

she does move it but usually in a inward position 95% of the time it does mess with her standing. like she can stand up but she has problems when getting up to her feet because it's like when stands all the weight goes to the outside of the foot if that makes sense .

Both my feet were inward when I was little. The doctor had my mom put my shoes on the opposite feet and have me walk like that to straighten them but that was 28 years ago.

@jenx, what MIL suggested and to go ahead say something to her pediatrician so we can go ahead solve the problem before it worsens of course i've been googling it which hasn't helped lol

@jenx, Yes, probably! A lot has changed since back then.

yes, don't google. My guess is that it is a muscle weakness that started when she only had so much room in the womb. Things like that are common with multiples. Then that side is predisposed to be weak and you can't vocally tell a baby how to strengthen that foot. Like they make foot gyms for adults to work out the muscles, but that's not going to happen in a baby.

I think it is great to mention it to the pediatrician, have him/her do a passive and active range of motion assessment. Have her stand on it, and refer her out to a PT. It's going to be okay. <3
