We got our son a baby doll so that way he could start practicing before baby C gets here. He loves the doll so much. Calls it his sister and he’s so sweet takes it everywhere. Now my question is should we take the doll and get rid of it while I’m at the hospital? Or will that confuse him too much? I don’t want him to think all his toys will come to life lol. Or let him keep it

Idk where the idea to take it away came from, but I wouldn't do that. Let him keep it. What a sweet story to tell him one day about how he learned to be a good big brother and had his own baby.

Why would you take it from him at all?? Idk where that idea came from, but I CERTAINLY would not do it. THAT'S going to traumatize him more than just showin up with a new baby, without having a doll first, would have. Let the child keep his doll.
