I plan to teach my daughter security. If she wants to go to college that's fine but go for a degree that will find you work and success in life, not some bs liberal arts degree. If trade school is that then fine but it needs to be in something that you can survive on.
It's true !! You do not tell your kids to not go to college ! You encourage all that good stuff and yes force them to go to school for as long as possible but realistically as an adult now it's true ! My hubby has his own business and honestly it's scary to say we do beter then some people in my family that are doctors. Teachers. Just saying!! It's the truth but yes encourage school!
My husband has his bachelor degree in finance and sure it comes in handy with life stuff but his welding job doesn't even require a degree and he makes more money doing it than he did when he was in finance...
During the TX freeze, I saw this awesome story about a HIGH SCHOOL GIRL who was taking some type of construction program through the junior college and she replaced the broken pipes in her house and her neighbor’s!!! That girl is going places, and I don’t mean regular college!! 😉

Oh, hell yes. How many people with college degrees are unemployed, but have to pay someone $60/hr to fix something at their house?
