I called the car place and they don’t have a date for the back ordered part. So I might have their loaner for days or weeks. To me that’s unacceptable and I just want my damn car back. Now I’m looking for a new car shop because not only did they break my car but lied to me. I asked them to check something and one of the guys said he did and the other man said they weren’t able to because of the oil leak they caused was so bad they weren’t able to do anything else until they can fix that issue. 🙄🤦♀️.

Wow, that’s totally unacceptable. I understand them not knowing when the part will be here but this whole thing is their fault in the first place. Add that in with the lying, wow. I’d be looking for a new shop *and* demanding that the original shop pay for the part that was required because of their mess up.

I'd be looking for a new shop, but it would have NOTHING to do with the backordered part. I'm personally in a retail industry where I'm frequently placing orders to outside vendors and the general consumer has NO idea how bad this pandemic has FUCKED things. We LITERALLY make nothing in America anymore and almost everything is ordered in or the parts are and it's assembled here. EVERYTHING is made overseas then one of it's first stops, once a shipment reaches the US, is California. So we're dealing with China and California, the two hardest hit and most locked down placed due to covid. It literally can't be helped. People get pissed at me, like I take their order then run back to our warehouse and make the shit myself. 🙄🤷♀️ This is the world we live in right now and there's not much that us employees of these companies can really do but hurry up and wait with you.
You have MANY other reasons to seek outside help. I just think the backordered part shouldn't make that list.

It’s not. It’s the fact they broke the part and my car because they put it on incorrectly, they lied about what they did and didn’t do. I will say when I look for the part I found it at multiple places including the dealership that they are able to go through so what they are even doing at this point who knows. It’s the trust for me and now I question their work. Especially when I go in and spend thousands on my car, I want to know it’s being worked on properly.
