Anyone’s little one had an issue with eating hair? String?
My daughter just started again with the eating hair.. this time we didn’t know until hair was stuck in her butt...which explains her potty training seeming to be all jacked up 😳😳 idk what to do and the doctor keeps saying it’s a behavior thing 😓😓 I have got to get this hair out

How do you get her to stop? Is it harming her at all?

She still does it! & No it's not harming her but she does see a PT & OT & they recommended a behavioral therapist as well. .

Have you thought about a behavioral therapist? It could be generalized anxiety, esp if she stopped and then started again. There’s also something called pica where people crave non-food items.

Do I need a referral for that? I’ll look into it because at this point it’s nerve wrecking.

it depends on your insurance! Talk to her doctor and your insurance and see what’s covered. I’d assume kids mental health/behavior services are included.

My friends daughter did this when she was stressed. She would pull the follicle out of her head and start there.
I had to sit my friend and her husband down and set them straight because the strain they were putting on her is what pushed her to start doing it all over again. It was a divorce, a bad one, and they’d fight in front of this little girl constantly. Is your daughter stressed or anxious at all?

I have no idea. She doesn’t seem anxious, I was thinking maybe she needs more outdoors? After being stuck inside on a regular but like when she goes outside it’s like she is crazy and you can’t control her so idk 😓🤦🏽♀️ then when I vent to others they say she has no structure which I thought she did but maybe it’s not good enough 🤷🏽♀️
