For those with kids in elementary school ( actual in person lol)...do they have to use a mask when they're outside at recess? When they're on play scapes in particularly.
We decided to send my kiddo back to school. They have mask breaks outside, they were able to social distance in the fall when the field wasn't covered with snow. Now that winter is here they get to go on play scapes (the school has 3) but they don't have to wear a mask which seems kind of counterintuitive. Just curious what other places are doing.

My daughter is in 3rd grade and she has her mask on all day except for eating and being outside. They are monitored and aren’t allowed real close to each other. I’ve often wondered how they keep the germs at bay with the kids touching the equipment but so far her school has only had 2 classes quarantine so far since school started 🤞🏼 every other school has been way worse. My daughter said a teacher wipes the stuff down while they are lining up. When it’s really cold they have to stay inside in the gym and they are required to keep the masks on.

I’m going to have to ask her! They just let them start playing on the equipment this week.

My son wears his mask all the time except when eating lunch. And they eat lunch at their desk with more than 6 feet social distancing.
