Hi Moms! So my Grandpa passed away and it is tearing me apart inside that my doctor advised me not to travel (to go to his funeral). She said it is not safe with COVID. I really want to pay my respects and because my Grandpa was the very best! I realize it’s not just me I am protecting, but most importantly, my baby. And if something happened that hurts my baby, I’d feel so bad. Has anyone gone through something similar!

First thing I'm truly sorry for your loss. My condolences to you and your family during this unfortunate time. Now a few months ago my uncle passed away and a majority of our family couldn't fly out due to everything that is going on as well with covid. I was completely hard on myself for not going. I will say that my cousins ended up providing a virtual option for us who weren't able to attend so we could pay our respects. I was still able to extend my love everyone and share the moment with them. We were sincerely overjoyed! Yes, of course it's not the same as physically being there but we all were so appreciative there was an option. So maybe you could just check to see if they're going to provide a virtual option. Ultimately just do what you feel is best for you and your child. The doctor did suggest it not being safe but at the end of the day you'll be the one deciding🙏❤

I would go. Quarantine yourself and keep your distance from your family at the funeral.
