Okay maybe I’m overthinking it , they say “Toddlers who were born prematurely reach milestones later.” So this may be the issue, or maybe this pandemic is driving me nuts
Thank you, I appreciate the support and being a new mom doing this more on my own is so hard now . I don’t get as much help anymore due to the pandemic. But I’m going to change the way I teach him and be a lot more patient
@jordandior You're more than welcome! I can relate, as I'm sure many can. I know we hear that "all children are different" but it really is true in many levels. However, if you see something that makes you uncomfortable or makes you scratch your head, it's so much better to ask for help through his ped and really be adamant until they take you seriously. Better to get unneeded therapy than to miss needed therapy. My daughter will finally start Friday with developmental peds after 3 years of me bringing up my concerns. She was finally referred back in June and it's taken this long to get in. She will be 5 in two weeks. If you want to talk, just respond to this and I'll do my best to give a listening ear. Have a great night!
Yes, some do, but not all. If you see something that he is behind in do your best to work with him on that area and seek help through your ped, but don't stress yourself out over it. Stress will only compound your issues and make you sad. Whatever it is, I hope he is doing just fine!! Big hugs. I have a mildly delayed child who is finally getting medical assistance and we have our first appt on Friday. It will all work out! Many hugs and blessings sent your way!!!
