For my dirty 30 and older mommas:

I was 32 when I was pregnant with my daughter. It was great. My midwife says a 20 year old has the best body for having a baby, but a 30 year old has the best mindset for it. Take that with a grain if salt, ladies. :) I didn't have a cut off, I tried to have a second baby up until 38 with ivf and genetic testing, it just wasn't meant to be. But physically I was fine.

Now that I am 41, I don't want to be pregnant again. I've moved on from that. But that's probably because I had 3 painful losses and it's mentally not wanting to possibly go through it again.

I just turned 32 and this will be last baby I always wanted all my kids before 35 so that worked out in my favor.

I didn't have my first until I was 31. I'm 36 now and NO WAY in HELL do I wanna be pregnant again. Plus, I don't think I'm mentally stable enough for more than 1! 🤣

SERIOUSLY, Idk HOW any of y'all with more than 1 get ANYTHING done!

I’m 38 (will be 39 when I have this one). My limit is 40. This will be our last. We got a late start for several reasons but we didn’t get married until I was 30 either. I had my first at 33.

This pregnancy is similar to my last so not much difference between pregnancy before and after 35 for me. I was offered all of the genetic testing (like always) but it’s covered by insurance now that I’m “advanced maternal age”. I also had to have an early glucose screening but that was because I was diagnosed with PCOS after my first.

I just turned 30. My husband and I have been talking about trying again and our original plan was to start trying this spring but with covid we aren’t sure now. If it doesn’t happen by the time I’m 33 we will stop trying. At 35 my fertility doctor would move us to IVF and I’m not sure I want to put myself through that. I don’t think I could handle it mentally

I just turned 32, and ideally, would like 2 more. Thinking about trying for the next one this summer :) I always said that my cut off was 35, but I don’t want to have 2 super close together (my first two were 18 months apart and it was HARD), so I’d be okay pushing that to 36. I don’t think I’d go past that. My mom was 35 when she had me though and 41 when she had my sister 🤷🏼‍♀️

I'm 38. Pregnant 8d6 and we had decided that I needed to be pregnant before I was 38.5... I personally would not want to have a newborn after the age of 40 because I know what it is to have a parent 39 years older and one who was very young. My father passed 6 years ago when I was 32 and I was just coming to a place where we could understand one another and all of his teachings made sense to me. I want to think about the age difference between me and my youngest(unborn) and my health going forward, family plans(planning),savings, retirement, time off from work needed for pregnancy and bonding due to my career field, etc. College and more. I didn't have my first two until 33 and 35. This is definitely out last. So far so good but I know as my children speed up, I am slowing down. Lol.

I'm 32, my cut off happened after my last baby, that kids killed my body, I was miserable my entire pregnancy. Lol but! If I were to change my mind I think 35 would be the end of it for me.

I had said 30 before, but decided to change it to 35 before doing something permanent about it. I don't think we will want another, but crazier things have happened.

I am going to be 29 and if we decide to have more it needs to be within the next 4-5 years or I am not having anymore at all 🤣

I just turned 30 in November. Kiddo will be at least 7 if we get pregnant this year. I have secondary infertility that is unexplained....If I'm not pregnant by 33 or when kiddo is 10 then we'll be throwing in the towel. I cannot start over like that with kiddo being that much older, plus I want to a stay at home mom until Pre-K which will delay my career only further.

30 is my cutoff. I just turned 30 in September & we’re currently not preventing for baby #3!! If it doesn’t happen before my 31st. I’ll probably be done!! (My hubs will be 34 this year so I take that into account too!)

I’m 30 and my cut off is 30. My pregnancies have always been rough and I don’t want anymore. I’ve always wanted a son but I’m beyond happy with my two girls. There’s no way I could handle more kids lol.

My cutoff was 30. I thankfully got one of each so I didn’t feel pressure to rush for a third.

I am 37 and I’m done now. I can’t compare to how it feels to have kids in your 20s because I had both in my 30s. My pregnancies didn’t seem much different from what I’ve seen younger mothers speak of on here. Maybe a little more achy now when I pop up in the middle of the night but otherwise smooth sailing. The only difference in my prenatal care was that the NIPT was strongly recommended

I’ll be 29 this year and we have decided this will be our last baby BUT I won’t be doing anything permanent until I’m 35. I always said I was done having kids by the time I was 30 because I didn’t want to be in my 40’s running after a toddler. I will add my husband is 36 (will be 37 in may) and just the difference from this pregnancy to last one is literally killing my body.

I'm 32 & this has been the hardest pregnancy for me, idk if it's because I'm older or because this is my third but I think this will be my last. My husband is 38 to so that's getting on up there..

I had my son at 35 years old, just a month shy of 36. My pregnancy was great! No morning sickness, had good energy. I did get carpal tunnel towards the end, but that resolved at birth.

Because I was older, I cherished every moment. I was definitely in a better mindset to be a parent being in my 30’s. 💜 I think you should do whatever works for your family. Don’t worry about a pre-defined cutoff.

I first said no more after 30, then had my third a couple months after my 30th bday. Then I said no more after 32. I’ll be 33 in sept. Just found out I’m due again the day after my birthday. If this one doesn’t stick, I’ll for sure be done by 34. I would like to have a fourth but that’s the limit for me.

On the other hand I have a friend who wants a house full 7-10. She had number 7 in July and would like to have a couple more, she is 37. Hers are back to back, she takes a few months off to spend nursing and getting back in shape before trying for the next one.

I had my first at 31 and my second at 34. I had no pregnancy complications whatsoever. If you’re in good health and have the energy then age doesn’t really matter. I’m done having kids but I think anything before age 40 is fine.

I had my first at 31 and am now 35 with this one. Neither of my pregnancies were difficult. I’m more uncomfortable this time around but not sure if it’s because I’m older or because it’s my second. This will be my last - not because of age, though. I just don’t want more after this. My cutoff would be 39-40 if I wanted more.

I got pregnant with this baby at 35. I’m 36 now. This pregnancy is the same as all the other ones I’ve had. I know women who have had babies in their early forties and they were fine and so were their babies.
