As some know. My husband boss who tested positive for COVID came back to the office after 10 days wearing no mask and the wife was back also with cough. Since Friday my husband am haven’t been feeling well. I called out and send him to get tested. He tested POSITIVE!!! I’m so freaking stress! We live in a small apartment (NY) . What should I do ? Keep him in the room isolated? I should also get tested? I just pray we get through this and my girls don’t get sick!
Any tips for things I can do to make him better such as home made remedies
Since they live in the same household, it’s 14 days from his 10th day of symptoms. So a total of 24 days of quarantine. But the CDC did offer new quarantine guidelines that have shortened the 14 days to 10 days if she doesn’t display any symptoms, so a 20 day quarantine if you remain symptomless @l.yesi (if your local health dept has accepted the new guidelines).
Put some coconut oil on ur hand then 2 or 3 drops of oregano oil on it rub it together and put it on his feet and chest. Oregano has antiviral properties and also antibacterial.
@l.yesi, your welcome hun when I had it I only vegetable soup. No meat, dairy, eggs or sugar. Lots of water too! Hope he feels better soon mama!
Yes, definitely keep him isolated from everyone else. You’re a close contact so you need to quarantine as well and should not go anywhere. Covid positive people can be contagious up to two days before they display symptoms, so keep an eye out for your own symptoms no matter how minor. Good luck!
We will definitely stay home. I cannot isolate myself since I have no one to care foe my girls. I will keep him isolated & also I will get tested
@l.yesi, Understandable! My sister worked in a covid unit earlier this year. Their patients were on a regimen of low dose aspirin and zinc among all the other hospital drugs. She recommended my FIL take 325mg of aspirin and a zinc supplement when he had covid. If you have grocery delivery or someone who can drop stuff off, that might be something to get for him.
He should be in one room in the house by himself use all though away dishes. Everything in the room needs to be sanitized when he is done with isolation everyone should be tested.
You've been around him so you should get tested too but you all need to quarantine.
Seeing as how he has already tested positive the only reason for you to get tested is if you started showing symptoms. He should self isolate in a separate room from the rest of you and then you guys self isolate for 14 days because regardless, if you test positive, that is what you would do. And it’s 14 days from the last time you were around him.
