How did you co parent with the dad the 1st year?
Im extremely nervous about alot of things but mostly about something happening while baby is with dad...which is why i dont really wanna leave baby over night with dad until my baby is over "SIDS" age. I dont even want my baby over my moms over night and i trust her with my baby whole heartedly.

I coparented my oldest for couple years. None of my kids slept away from me until over the age of two. His first sleepover at his dads he was 3 and his dad took him 3 hours away without letting me know and stopped answering my calls. Also left his 6 year old brother to care for him in the morning, as well as make his “bottles” that he no longer drank. Oh he also went out to a club and left his mother who does not speak English to care for my child. Needless to say that was a first and last.

I have been co parenting with my sons dad since he was 5 months old then he started going with his dad 2 nights a week plus every other weekend. Best advice i can give u is COMMUNICATION! And find a system that works for you everyone will always have there opinions but wats in the best interest of the child.... it wasn’t easy for me to let my son go with his dad but my son loves his dad n my sons dad loves him n there bond is something i would never break despite how i feel about him

Its really not about how I feel about him... I love him actually. Despite everything. And I don't want to deny them a relationship. I just don't see me parting with my baby overnight. They could visit All day but at night imma need my baby in arms reach. Its nothing personal. Im just the over protective type. This my only baby.

i totally get that this is my 1 n only i don’t want more kids but i had to look at like wat if the shoe was on the other foot n someone telling me i can visit my child n then go home

i hear you, as long as that person went through everything I have to go through to get said child here. Then that would be their right! I'm not saying I will never let my baby stay overnight...just not right off the back. when my baby turn 1 I would be open to it. And they can visit during the day up until then. Really Idk how often that could be as I'm moving back home with my family 5 hrs away. Its a strained situation but I guess we'll talk about that at some point.
