This transitioning to the crib thing is not going good at all. I'm so over this crap. I'm losing my mind. I try to lay him down and he wakes right back up even if he is in a deep sleep. I literally cannot keep doing this. I can't do this myself and I'm the only one that can get him to sleep like. I'm mentally exhausted and having a breakdown. I feel like my husband doesn't care about how mentally and physically exhausted I am. I just dont know what to do and every sleep training course i find online costs a to. Of money that i dont have.

Everyone tells me to just let him cry but i literally cannot. I cant listen to my baby cry and cry and cry.

Where is he sleeping now?

Transitioning my oldest from rock n play to his crib was HELL. He did the same thing your babe did. I chose the C.I.O. method (in small increments... never allowed him to cry for more than 10 mins at a time, would check on him & calm him down if I could, then laid him back down again). It took a LOT of patience. I’d shove headphones in my ears so I wouldn’t go crazy listening to him cry. If you’re 200% against this method I understand.

Sometimes letting them sleep where they are isn’t a bad thing, if it means you’re getting sleep too.

He was in his bassinet next to my bed until he was 4.5 months and was sleeping through the night. Then his sleep changed and was waking up every 1.5-2.5 hours. When he started doing that, I started falling asleep while nursing him in our bed and said screw it and would just leave him there. So moving him from my bed to his crib.

I'm definitely against letting him CIO. I he doesn't calm down, he just cries til he can't breathe.

We had a hard time transitioning from the rock n play to the crib also. A sound machine with white noise helped a lot. I would lay him down at the same times every day right after feeding and if he cried I’d pick him up and settle him, lay him back down and pat him until he was good and tired and sneak out. It took a good month, but he finally adjusted and it was a lot easier from then on.
