When I was growing up my dad always told me a story about how my birthmom took me back for 11 days after I was born and that they paid her 10K to get me back.
He was PROUD of it. Like buying a baby was a financial status. That I TOO should be proud that he actually bought me. That he spent all that money to acquire me.

My mom was adopted so growing up she always talk positively about it her parents were amazing but not everyone gets that unfortunately.
How does that make you feel? Are you supposed to be proud? Thankful?

@scruffy.nerf.herder, I wish I could find out my mom’s heritage she actually passed away a few years ago. She never wanted to find her biological parents she loved my grandparents so much. She is actually the reason why I want to adopt kids one day.
It’s crazy how adoption is huge it’s so resourceful but it’s also so hurtful at the same time

That’s fuckin crazy. 🤯 My mil was adopted as well and shares bits and pieces. Although she knew about her biological parents and met some of her family, she holds a lot of hurt. She isn’t open about it though.
