My name is Niki and I am a new mommy to my little man Elijah Rocco. Elijah was born on Jan. 7th 2017 at 8lbs 5oz and 20 inches. My husband Louis picked out the name Elijah, I believe because it sounds similar to Elon and he is a fan of Elon Musk. The middle name Rocco was Louis' grandfather's name (Luigi Rocco Fusillo) first generation American. We couldn't be happier or more blessed! A family of our own is all we ever wanted, we tried for two years before seeking help only to find out we were pregnant a month later! I was miserable the entire pregnancy, labour lasted awhile.. probably the day before I went in and had him 31 hours later after a few interesting tactics. Delivery was a shocking 2 minutes and the recovery... well, that's still happening since I had surgery a week ago. In the end it's all worth it. Every day is still surreal, the only way I can describe it is that becoming a mother made me feel like there had always been an empty void needing to be filled that I didn't even realize was missing before, and now it's filled with pure love. I am proud to be a mom and I'm enjoying every second of this journey.
