My name is Kourtney and I'm a first time mom. After two years of infertility issues, my prayers were answered when I found out I was expecting River. It was a tough pregnancy but I loved every minute of it. I went in for a follow up appointment on 11/17/15 and found out I was 5cm dilated. Quickly after that I was transferred to Freeman Hospital in Joplin MO. I spent 4 days flat on my back and was given a huge amount of magnesium to stop any labor. Saturday 11/21/15 Rivers head became stuck. We stopped the magnesium and broke my water. I had her at 26w 4 days gestation. She weighed 1lb 15oz and was 13 inches long. She is currently in the NICU. She has a long ways until she is released but she is a happy and very healthy baby. She breaths practically on her own with little help from a bubble c-pap. She just needs to grow!
