After some advise please.. So Iv had alot of cristism when it comes to feeding my little girl as I thought it was best to leave her till 6 months as she doesnt scream after a bottle so I thought she was getting enough from it.. Can anyone give any tips or advise so I know when and if shes ready please
(with my son he had such bad exezma and asthma we had to try food early to try rule out certain allergies)
My so called friend and my sister thinks I should have started at like 18 weeks?
Thanks
Food before one is just for fun.
They get all they need from milk. Food, even at 6 months is all about tastes amd textures, nothing to do with nutrients :)
If they can sit unaided and show signs of wanting food (can’t remember what they are lol) then I think your good to go, though it is advised at 6 months because they don’t really need food as they get everything they need from their milk up to 12 months, time before that is just for fun teaching them how to finger food and introducing different taste 😍
Definitely 6 months. If your health visitor had any concerns about her feeding or hunger he/she would have recommended you wean her. If she’s happy with milk then keep at it. My daughter was not a hungry baby she was 4 bottled a day when she got to 6 months however when she got to 6 months and we weaned her she loved it she absolutely loved food. X
Guidelines are around six months, my first son had allergies so I didn't start weaning properly until way later than that. Honestly milk is still the main source of nutrition up to a year old so you can tell the people around you that she isn't going to starve.
It's advised that you can start weaning when they are able to support their own head and can sit upright in a chair. Start off with one veg at a time so you can identify any allergies easily and they only need a spoonful or two at first.
Good luck and don't let others make you doubt yourself , you know what you are doing 💕xx
