Yes, I have hypothyroidism. It's definitely common during pregnancy too. The thyroid levels can get out of whack due to pregnancy. I had it before pregnancy though...
@lifewithlynnieandwill88 I just got My referral today to see a Endocrinologist and a MFM to make sure I get the proper dosage and to make sure baby is safe and that I have a healthy pregnancy and continue My prenatal care at My OB office. I have never been a high risk pregnancy but because I have hypothyroid and have to get on meds that makes Me high risk. Pretty soon I will have all the answers I need regarding My thyroid.
wow, I've never been high risk because of it. Your levels may be extremely off😩 it will be ok. An. Endocrinologist will fix you up❤️
@lifewithlynnieandwill88 Mama they are extremely low. I'm not sure what's considered extremely low but they are very low. The MFM I talked to said any thyroid issue during pregnancy is considered high risk in their office or maybe just a few offices in Arizona consider it high risk. I'm not sure yet though until they see Me
after I had my son I developed hyperthyroidism and was put on meds .. I haven’t checked in with my doctor in 2 months bkz my meds haven’t been making me feel right .. they worked for like a month and then started making me feel like crap but I haven’t had time to make an appointment with my doc to maybe change my meds or something
@flamingfiremom if you have high thyroid (hyper) your not gonna take more thyroid hormone that just will make it higher, if you have low thyroid (hypo) you take thyroid hormone to increase your levels to level you out.
@flamingfiremom are u sure it's hypo?? Low t4 or t3?? Making your TSH high?? Hyper would be high t4 or t3 making your TSH low.
@lifewithlynnieandwill88, ohhhhh makes sense then yeah my doc had told me I was low and that my body wasn’t producing enough hormones so I’m guessing I have hypo !! Thank you for the reassurance
I have Hashimoto and graves but iv been under control for years with pig thyroid and a combo of other drugs block and replace therapy levothyroxin is straight trash too me but everyone’s different. I feel awful on that stuff

I have it too and I'm freaking out because I have never been told I have extremely low thyroid. I was told in My last pregnancy that My thyroid is on the lower side of normal but they never treated it. Now they want to put Me on meds. Thank You for responding Mama I appreciate it! I have to ask is this something to worry about because doc kept telling Me not to worry and that they caught it early enough but I'm still over here worrying like crazy
Heather··
don't worry, just start taking your meds each day. Did they give you levothyroxine?
