My mother in law is really mad I’m letting my daughter be spider man for Halloween. Lol who even cares? My baby can be whatever she wants! She’s acting shock like Mia didn’t just request spider man toys for her birthday a few months ago. The fact that she’s telling everyone I’m trying to make my 2 year old gay is really bothering me. Since when was sexuality linked to costumes? I hate her so much

@alicianoelle32 in ny situation its my mil who preaches the Bible and its not right and hes a boy he needs to do only boy things or im allowing him to think its okay to be a girl and God made him a boy. I told her to f off that all long as my kid is happy and healthy he can be who he wants to be and I will be behind him all the way. I played with power rangers growing up I even went through a year were I wore all boys clothes I shopped in the boys department and now I love girly clothes. She doesn't like me much and I don't care my son is happy and thats all I will ever care about

@mom2godzilla so many lack the understanding regarding the Lord's word. Yes there is a standard/belief that is required of those who believe but this whole deal right here has literally NOTHING to do with any of that lol like come on really? Children playing with toys is such a far reach. I mean I could easily say that the Bible says to lean not unto your own understanding..so there. Btw power rangers were the bomb back in the day! No joke I used to say I was the white and yellow ranger lol

My son plays with all the girl toys baby dolls barbies basically everything my daughter plays with. She even paints his nails here and there cuz everytime she does hers he wants his done too. And idgaf. Toys are toys and shouldn't be gender specific imo. Let them be kids and have fun.

@imacat i would have been heated. First of all you don't say things like that, second of all so what if he does end up gay. If one of my kids end up being gay or a lesbian they will have my full support. You love who you love. And painting their nails isint gunna magically make them gay. I cant stand ignorant people.

@alicianoelle32 yes! They are gunna grow up and be who they want to be anyway. Showing them you support them from a young age will instill their trust in you as their parent. I want my kids to be able to come to me about anything without worrying about being judged. And just cuz they play with certain toys or whatever it may be as a child doesnt mean they are gunna turn out gay or not gay. Let them be kids and experience life while they can. A little nail polish or a costume never hurt anyone.

When my daughter was 3, she was Buzz Lightyear. Every other girl in her class was a princess. She was happy and that was all that mattered. If your baby wants to be Spider-Man, there’s nothing at all wrong with that and MIL can get over herself.

My daughter and son are obsessed with spider man. I agree with u completely shes sounds ignorant. I bought my daughter the girl spider man costume for Halloween but yesterday she decided she really wanted to be a mermaid 🤷🏼♀️ lol
