My son loves the bottle more than my breast 😫 he gets so fussy when I give him my breast but has no issue with with bottle. As long as his eating I’m okay with it. I’ve been pumping and I hate pumping!!
It’s so draining to me but it’s a must when my breast get engorged I have to do it cus he doesn’t like to drink from it much.
@boymom_3, if you do want him to nurse you may want to wait on the bottle a little longer. 😊
I found that dangle feeding helped the milk come out faster. Not the comfiest but worked best for ys
@justgotaname He is really tiny and I want to make sure he is eating enough that’s why I give the bottle but I do introduce the breast as well I breastfeed first then give the bottle after so he can be full.
@wellabean0413, my son is not completely refusing but he fights it but with the bottle he doesn’t. As long as his eating I’m fine tho just hate pumping so much.
I’m going to have a special ceremony and blow up my pump and accessories when I’m done this time around. Hate it soooo much
I would just lay baby on the feeding pillow so I could kind of lean over him. My son has Downs syndrome so he has low muscle tone. With dangling the milk just flows once I had a letdown lol
This is the exact reason why pumping and bottle feeding isn’t recommended until after your supply is established around 6 weeks. I would ditch the bottle and pumping all together.
@boymom_3, your oversupply is from pumping if you don’t plan on exclusively pumping you need to stop pumping so baby can regulate your supply, breast milk works on supply and demand. He prefers bottle because it’s easier if you stop giving bottle he will have no choice but to breastfeed, if you keep giving the bottle he will likely stop taking the breast all together soon. These are the two reasons why it is strongly recommended not to pump until 4-6 weeks, over supply and baby preferring bottle.

@boymom_3, no problem I hope it works! I find a lot of hospitals and drs give incorrect or outdated information and a lot of women struggle to be successful at breastfeeding because they are given the wrong information. If you have any questions feel free to message me I have breastfed all 4 of my babies.
It’s recommended to wait at least 4 weeks before introducing a bottle for this exact reason. The milk comes out faster in a bottle. Make sure you’re using preemie nipples. Or just drop the bottles all together and nurse on demand.
@boymom_3, ok but there’s a good chance he won’t want to breastfeed if you keep giving him bottles. Since he’s 2 weeks old you should have a good supply and can nurse him on demand. If he sleeps longer than 2 hours then wake him up.
okay. I do have a good supply and still breastfeed he just doesn’t like it as much but he still latches good. I’ll try it in two weeks and see.
