My daughter is the same! I was shocked but keep encouraging her with little books that she reads by herself. Go little man!!

I would call it early. My kiddo could read at that age and now that she's in second grade but she reads at a 6th grade, 2nd month level. We just got her state required testing results. She rocked it.

Keep encouraging his reading.

My daughter does the same and has for almost a year. It’s crazy! She sounds words out too so it’s definitely not like sight words or something.
