Ok wtf. I lost my childcare due to the virus. Had to call off work 2 days because my kids weren’t cooperating. Left voicemails on my managers extension because she didn’t answer. She calls me and tells me I had two no call no shows and was put in for job abandonment. I tried to fight it but didn’t pan out. So I filed for regular UI benefits. A month went by and I finally got ahold of the UI office they told me my job was fighting it and my case was sent to a judicator who told me the disqualification of my account was my job fighting it. (on a fri) the following Monday it showed denied and PUA was activated and I started receiving pandemic assistance. Now I get a call from another judicator saying I shouldn’t be getting PUA and need to file for regular UI. I explained to her what happened she’s not saying the disqualification wasn’t my job fighting it it was the extension being denied. And I might have to pay PUA back. What. The. Hell. I did what the first person told me to do.

I would of told your boss learn how to answer your phone thats what phones and also make sure to check your voice mails

I told her I left voicemails because her number with extension was the only way to call out. Not my problem she didn’t answer. First she tried to say there was no voicemails then she said voicemails aren’t an acceptable way to call out.

I would of lost it . Shes the one that needs to be responsible at least you called several times

You should get approved for unemployment, you called off to care for your kids . I’m sorry sounds like a pain! The unemployment system is so screwed up right now .

it went to a judicator for investigation and they sided with my job. Resulting in it being denied

that’s dumb I’m sorry . I wasn’t ready to go back from maternity leave cause I didn’t have a sitter and they awarded me unemployment. Makes no sense !

Get your phone records which prove you called prior to your shift on that day. They can’t fight proof.

I did. Sent them in. She says there’s no records of a voicemail just a call. Either way this was almost 2 months ago. So not much I can do now but fix this other mess with PUA
