So my sons pedi told me today just go ahead and start him on whole milk. At this point I feel like I’ve failed my son I don’t know what to do. He’s been refusing formula for almost one month now and his pedi told me to just mix whole milk and formula and that worked fine for a few weeks but now he’s not taking it. Three days have passed of him barely getting in any liquids and I’m lucky if he drinks 1-4 oz. I even tried different formulas and he wasn’t having it. Pedi has said to start him on whole milk and a liquid vitamin. Any suggestions? I would rather try other solutions before we convert to whole milk completely. He is on solids but they want him to get in at least 15-20oz of formula and he isn’t.

Well there’s this cup they have it’s a sippy it’s at Walmart and in the bottom there’s a fruit compartment you can put lemon and strawberry etc other fruit mixes idk if he would go for it cuz I know it’s still pretty bland but it’s pretty

He loves watermelon. You think if I blend it and give him that throughout the day he’ll be fine? I definitely should’ve asked his pedi this question. 🤦🏽♀️

@ajaecymone184, since he is eating solids dry giving him less and see if he will take the formula maybe he gets full off just solid food

At only eight months I would try a plant based milk or pediasure. Cows milk doesn’t have a ton nutritionally speaking

Do you know any plant based brands?

we love ripple. It was what was recommended by our pediatrician. My first started it at 10 months. We also like Chobani oat milk. But I recommend ripple is pea based and actually delicious
