I love my sons case manager at school. After talking to Hubby and Zay, she found out I was here. She called to check on me in the hospital and asked if Zay needs extra support while I’m healing. That was so sweet it made my heart fill with Joy!
Sacramento Area parents...if you’re looking for a great kindergarten program that’s different from traditional school but not homeschool, look at California Montessori Project. There are 6( I think)campuses between Sacramento and El Dorado county. It’s a public K-8 charter school that teaches in the Montessori method which is hands on individualized education. For my son on the spectrum, he’s getting everything he needs and then some in a full inclusion environment vs a traditional schools special ed classes. If he stayed in the district they wanted him in a program. It was definitely worth the cutthroat lottery.

That is absolutely wonderful! It has to be an amazing feeling knowing the entire family has that level of support.

Yes! The vibe there is amazing. Even the distance learning so far has been amazing. I feel like these teachers and the few parents I’ve made contact with really care and it seems more like a village vs a school in that way. Zay has two teachers in his class, a special ed teacher/case manager, a speech teacher, behaviorist, and an OT whose also has a lot of ABA experience. I just love the support he gets at school and how it’s trickling down to us parents as well.
